What is cashless payment and how does it work at the festival?
Cashless = no stress with cash
You’ll receive your wristband at check-in—just show your ticket and you’re good to go!
The wristband has an integrated chip that acts as your digital wallet. You can use it to pay on the entire festival ground and at the campsites (exception: LIDL Rock Store). If you have already registered and topped up your wristband in advance, your credit will be available to you immediately since your ticket is linked to the cashless system. Your pre-orders are also stored on your wristband and are ready to use immediately! If you have not yet topped up your wristband, you can do so at the festival using our app or at one of the top-up stations.
Why cashless?
Faster: fast and contactless payment.
Safer: reduces loss and theft.
Better: more time for your festival experience.
Is it also possible to pay using cash?
No. Only cashless payments can be made throughout the entire grounds (exception: LIDL Rock Store). The advantage: you can use your wristband to pay for everything from beer to merchandise.
How can I top-up before the festival?
Register here with your festival ticket or use our app. Once you have registered, you can top-up your credit using various payment methods.
Is it possible to top up at the festival?
Of course! You can top-up more credit at any time using our app. Furthermore, there are top-up stations where you can top-up with Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Klarna, PayPal, GooglePay and ApplePay. You can find them in the infield and camp sites.
What are pre-orders?
You can pre-order some extras in advance and save yourself time and hassle at the festival. From upgrades to mobile power stations for your power supply at the tent, there is something for everyone.
What do I have to do if my ticket was bought by someone else?
Let the person give you the ticket. You can register here or using our app with the barcode on your ticket and top-up your credit. Please make sure that you queue at the check-in with your registered ticket so that it can be assigned to your chip and credit in the system. You find the locations of the Check-ins on the map and next to the main entrance.
Something is not working, who can I contact?
If you have any problems with registration or loading credit, contact us by email at cashless@rock-am-ring.com. Please note that we can only help you in the event of loss or problems if you have already registered in advance.
What do I have to bring to check-in?
Your ticket and an ID document for an age check. The rest is automatic.
Please note: Despite the registration you have to bring your festival ticket to the check-in.
If you're camping you'll need to show your festival tickets togheter with your camping tickets so you can get the correct wristbands.
Can I collect the wristbands for my group?
No, each festival goer must be present at wristband exchange (check-in) and needs to have their ticket scanned. It’s not possible to do this for other people, since the wristbands cannot be transfered.
How do I know how much credit I have left?
You can check your balance any time via the app or website. Furthermore, the electronic cash register will display your current balance every time you make a purchase. You could also visit one of the top-up stations on the festival ground to check your remaining credit.
Can I get receipts or invoices?
Yes. You can view receipts of your transactions here or in our app.
What happens with my personal data?
We use the cashless payment service of the Austrian company GET (www.get.systems) for cashless payment at our festivals. GET needs personal data from you to provide and process this service – particularly the repayment of unused credit. Your personal data are only processed with your express consent.
You have two options for using the service. You can either register directly via the GET app or website with the barcode of your festival ticket and purchase credit which is then transferred onto your personalised payment chip on your wristband when checking in at the festival. Alternatively, you can buy credit for your payment chip directly at one of the top-up stations on the festival site without giving away any personal data.
As soon as your personal data are no longer needed for the provision of the services and to process payment transactions and the remaining credit, and no legal retention obligations prevent it, your data are deleted. Equally, you can contact GET directly to have your data deleted.
For further information, you can refer to our Data Policy and the Privacy Terms of GET.
What if I still have credit on my chip after the festival?
Your leftover credit can be easily refunded after the festival.
The refund starts on Monday, 8 June 2026. Further information will be published here.
General Information
Rock am Ring is a festival that aims to be open to all fans equally. For years, we have been working to make Rock am Ring as accessible as possible. From 2026 onwards, together with Inklusion Muss Laut Sein, we will reduce hurdles and barriers for visitors with a wide variety of disabilities and establish a reliable standard. This effort applies not only to the design and production of the festival grounds but also to how we interact with each other during the event. Alongside the usual measures, we also rely on your help to make the festival experience even better for everyone.
rockAbility Camping
If you hold a regular festival ticket and a disability ID with one of the following designations (B, G, aG, H, BL), you meet the basic requirements for camping in the rockAbility area.
Space at rockAbility Camping is limited and already fully booked, so unfortunately you can no longer register for this area. Please note that you can only camp there after registering in advance, with a maximum of two accompanying persons. A prerequisite is that you all arrive in one vehicle together.
The second accompanying person needs a regular general camping ticket.
Tickets & Camping
People with the designations B or H in their disability ID can order tickets for themselves and a carer for Rock am Ring by calling the hotline at +49 421 353 638. Fans from countries that do not have such letter designations in their disability ID can contact rockability@rock-am-ring.com with any questions about camping. If their disability or chronic illness corresponds to a recognised designation in Germany, they will, of course, be treated equally. All enquiries will be handled with complete confidentiality.
Registering Medication
If you need to bring medication that requires refrigeration onto the festival grounds, please register this in advance so that we can make the necessary arrangements. A refrigeration facility will be available in the paramedic area. You can register your medical aids at rockability@rock-am-ring.com.
If you have diabetes or allergies, you are allowed to bring your pen onto the grounds and infield. Please inform security that you require the pen, as not everyone is familiar with the issue.
For prescription medication that falls under narcotics regulations (e.g. cannabis or substitutes), please bring a prescription from your treating doctor. Over-the-counter medications that do not require refrigeration or special storage do not need to be registered.
Sanitary Facilities
Wheelchair-accessible toilets are located at several points throughout the festival grounds. These will be marked on the site map, which will be published shortly before the festival. During the event, signs with directions will be placed around the grounds. Additionally, you can always ask on-site staff for assistance.
Festival Grounds
Concerts on the Utopia Stage can be watched from the roof of the pit lane. The lift for barrier-free access is located opposite the Medical Centre. Space is limited, and mutual consideration is important. You can bring one carer with you. In general, if the area is full, it is full. For your own safety, no additional people will be admitted once the limit is reached.
All other stages also have barrier-free sanitary facilities and wheelchair platforms.
Feeling Unwell?
If you or someone in your group is feeling unwell, please approach our on-site paramedics. The security staff can also be contacted in case of a medical emergency. They will ensure that you receive prompt and safe assistance.
